St. Sebastian School
and
Preschool
St. Sebastian School and Preschool is located in the heart of Santa Paula, a small city with a long history in California’s agricultural success and oil industry prominence.
St. Sebastian School follows standards and curriculum guidelines set forth by the state of California and the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Our graduates are very successful in the high school programs of their choice. Standardized Test Scores indicate that our students improve each year and are accruing skills that are grade level or beyond. We recognize also that some of our learners need accommodations and encouragement. Our local School District has granted us the mentorship of a Reading Coach through our Title IA eligibility. Her intervention has ignited significant improvement in the skills of our hesitant students.
St. Sebastian School boasts a highly qualified staff whose members develop many ways to engage our students in the learning process. The teachers and staff have a strong working relationship that promotes positive attitudes and willing spirits to learn with vision.
St. Sebastian Preschool has two levels of learning. The Early entry is for Little Learners aged 2.9 – 4.0 years of age. This program revolves around social interaction, learning readiness, and motor skill development. The second level is for early learners aged 4.0 – 5.0 who are preparing for Kindergarten. This class participates in Reading, Math, Handwriting, and Art readiness skills.
The entire curriculum and learning program here at St. Sebastian School flows from our Catholic faith. Religion instruction, prayer, sacramental preparation, and liturgical participation are key components of our school routines. Together as a faith community, St. Sebastian School and Preschool nurture the spiritual growth of our young learners.
